Use stealth, not brute forceThe loadout that changed everything for me was Photoelectric Cloak plus Deadline Mine. It looks simple on paper, but the value is in how safe it is when you do it right. Pop the cloak, move in from the rear, place the mine, then peel off before the Bastion reacts. That's it. No messy stand-up fight. No panic reload while alarms are going off. You'll notice pretty quickly that the run feels less chaotic when you're not trying to force damage with bullets alone. If you're low on resources, there are cheaper workarounds, sure. Grenade spam from a strong angle can still do the job. But for solo consistency, the cloak setup is miles ahead.
Build a simple rotation and know when to leaveI like keeping the route straightforward. Start at Pipeline Tower, rotate to Hydro Domes, clear nearby Leapers and Rocketeers while waiting on Bastion respawns, then loop back. Nothing fancy. The trick is not staying too long once the map gets noisy. If another team starts drifting toward your lane, or the timer starts looking ugly, just get out. Plenty of players ruin a great run because they convince themselves one more Bastion is worth it. Usually it isn't. Points in your inventory mean nothing until extraction is done, so the safest call is often the smartest one.
Why this matters even more right nowPatch 1.24.0 helped a lot. Audio feels cleaner, and a few annoying interruptions are gone, which makes stealth play more dependable than it was. That also means now's a solid time to stock up and practice before the next update changes the flow again. New content always shakes up routes, spawn timings, and what “safe” even means on a map. If you want to be ready from day one, having mines, grenades, and a proper solo kit already sorted saves a ton of hassle, and that's where u4gm can be useful for players who'd rather spend more time running Bastions than scrambling for gear.
